The problem with our current modes of transportation  is it's highly inefficient. On average the motor vehicle is only 35% efficient in the job it is made to do. This means while the fuel you are burning is creating 65% more power than your engine is producing to your tires to get you going. The result is much wasted energy. This also means that 65% of the waste it's producing is simply 100% waste that didn't go into getting you anywhere.

Over the years we have became more efficient in many things, The Internet exploding with anything you can imagine for sale. Television offering HD services, and Cell Phones getting better reception. We have somehow forgotten the things we seem to get into every day to get us from point A to point B.

Don't get me wrong I am not saying it has been at a stand still, but the developmental gap is huge in comparisons.

So what is wrong with the way we are using our vehicles today? Why is this inefficient method so harmful? The answer is really simple, green house gases.

Green house gases are released by your car every time you turn it on. These gases have been linked to many health problems (such as asthma, cryonic bronchitis,cancer, and other lung/heart  diseases), not to mention global warming.

As you can see 35% of the worlds carbon comes from transportation. This is a huge problem that needs to be fixed!
